Utility disconnections
Utility disconnections
Simple 3 steps!
Step 1
We know how difficult it can be to get through to some companies and to even tell them that you are deciding to end the contract, they will try and win you back and the process can be extremely arduous. We will contact your supplier and begin the process.
Air Utilities will aim to make this process as painless as possible for you by firstly contacting your supplier and terminating the contract on your behalf.
In order for us to be able to do this for you, we will need
- Letter of Authority from the end user
- MPAN number
Step 2
You will need to settle any outstanding payment for us to be able to go any further, as expected.
Once your old supplier has excepted the termination of the contract and you as the customer have paid the outstanding payment, we will then proceed to contact the Meter Operator (MOP) or Meter Asset Manager (MAM) and arrange for removal of the meter.
Step 3
The final step will be for us to permanently disconnect the meter and pipes. We will also ensure this is done for you and to the highest standard, as with all our work.
Air Utilities will then programme in to permanently disconnect the Energy Supply. We will follow the below steps and as mentioned we make sure it has been done to the highest industry standard.
- Excavate in the ground
- Cut the cable
- Make it safe with a Bottle End Joint
- Provide a disconnection certificate
